These web-based tutorials were used in General Biology 101.
Osmosis - this helps students understand the concepts of diffusion, semi-permeable membranes and osmosis.
Gene Expression - this helps students understand the two different processes (transcription and translation), how they are coordinated and how gene expression plays a role in controlling metabolic functions.
I would like to acknowledge help from Jon Moulton in constructing the Javascript portions of these tutorials. These Javascript pages look for key words in the answer and respond accordingly. I think this is a good example of an interactive web-page.
