Diffusion is the net movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to a region of lower concentration due to random motion of molecules.
In a solution with equal concentration at all places, some molecules will be moving out of a region at the same time other molecules are moving into that region. Molecules move in all directions and are in continual motion.
